FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder is a video decoder filter and audio based on DirectShow, to decompress movies in DivX, XviD format H.264, FLV1, WMV, MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4. It is also compatible with Divx 3, MSMPEG4v2 and MSMPEG4v1.
It allows to apply multiple filters to the videos, being able to achieve various adjustments (color, brightness, contrast, etc.), resize the image, add subtitles, and more.
FFDShow improves the image quality of movies, with the advantage that it consumes less resources than the official DivX or 3ivX decoder filters.
It does not have its own player but it is compatible with most of the video players, like Windows Media Player, VLC, etc.
FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder 2013-06-12 is the latest version, updated in June 2013, of this tool that can be downloaded free to install in any edition of Windows.
