Mixxx is a DJ program (disc jockeys) that allows you to mix music and edit it, with all the necessary tools to achieve excellent results.
It supports audio files in MP3, Ogg Vorbis and Wave format. You can apply filters to the files, and crossfader to control the speed. Emulates the effect of vinyl records.
The procedure is to load the tracks to mix even if they are of different formats, and start playing with the controls, listening live the results obtained. View the graphical representation (waveform display) of the remix that is playing.
The interface is very colorful and supports skins that allow to change its design and appearance, being able to choose between 5 different models. Some of them can be seen in the following video.
A complete Mixxx manual is available, which details the various functions offered by the application, and is used to learn how to properly configure the various elements needed to mix music.
Mixxx 1.10.1 is the latest version, updated in June 2012, of this software for DJ that is multiplatform (Windows, Linux and MAC OS) and can be downloaded for free .
