Artweaver is a program that allows editing photos and images them, add effects, and draw with brushes for drawings and paintings as if they were works of art.

It supports various types of brushes ( brushes ), such as: chalk, pencil, oil, pen, brush, seals and so on. In addition, brushes can be customized and new brushes can be created.

Artweaver has several editing tools, for example: gradient, crop, brush, selection, and so on. It also allows to apply varied filters and effects: mosaic, sharpen, blur, emboss, etcetera. In turn you can add text and define independent and editable text capable.

It has a manager to access the history, which allows to undo several steps back in case of not being satisfied with the latest results, and to return to any previous or later state.

The application supports the addition of new modules via plugins, such as the Lua Plug-In, to use Lua as a programming language for scripts in Artweaver.

Images are saved in AWD format (native to Artweaver) for editing at any time with this application, but can be exported to other formats: JPG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, PNG, PCX, TIFF, TGA and also supports the format Photoshop PSD, which allows you to save projects and later open them with that other program.

Artweaver is undoubtedly a complete graphic editor that also supports layers and transparencies, which makes it have the most features present in professional graphic editing software, such as the popular Photoshop.

Artweaver 3.1.2 is the latest version, updated in September 2012. It is available in Spanish, and can be downloaded for free, although there is a PRO version with more functions and tools, which can be tested for 14 days.
