OpenPuff is an application that allows you to hide multimedia content using a technique known as steganography, which consists of applying modifications to an object with the purpose of hiding it inside a different one. Originally this article referred to other software, called Our Secret, but it is no longer supported, so let's talk about this good alternative.

When you apply this process to a photograph you want to protect, you can hide it after another totally different picture, and you will be able to recover and restore the original by applying the reverse process using this tool.

In addition to hiding photos, OpenPuff is able to hide audio files (MP3, WAV), video (MP4, 3GP, MPEG, VOB, FLV and SWF) as well as text. Any information that may be secret or intimate and that you do not want to share with third parties, can be protected with this program.

While other methods exist to do this, such as protecting a whole folder, or encrypting data, this method is an alternative that raises less suspicion because the files have the same extension, and no clues are given to it Protected files.

The use of this tool is very intuitive, and requires a few steps to achieve the goal. In the case of a photograph the following should be done:

1- Select the photo or video that you want to hide. 

2 - Select another photograph that is the one to be displayed instead of the previous content. 

3-Select a password that will be necessary to recover the photo. Supports up to 3 passwords to give you more security. 

4 - Press the Hide button and finish the process.

To recover the hidden material the application is opened and the Unhide button is pressed, having to enter the corresponding password to decrypt and accede again to the hidden content
